Rae.Dianz is a Philadelphia-based poet, musician, and flutist whose artistry blends neo-soul, hip-hop, and rap, with a vocal tone often compared to Lauryn Hill. For nearly a decade, she has been a force in Philadelphia’s creative scene, originating with GLBL VLLG and expanding into venues like TIME, Johnny Brenda’s, the W Philadelphia, and Ardmore Music Hall, where she recently opened for Talib Kweli.
Her dynamic style merges with house and Afro beats, performing alongside collectives like BWC Sounds and Black Soul Summer and collaborating with DJs Joshua Lang, Brotha Taaj, Jon Alpine, and Zach Atom. She has released three EPs, is currently creating her fourth, and recently completed a full-length collaborative album with her father—also the culmination of her Black Music City grant. Her single MJ Returns broke 13,000 streams on Spotify in just six months. A Recording Academy member, she continues to expand her artistry nationally while uplifting Philadelphia’s creative community.
